had its first awards night on Thursday, Oct. 2, during which the following winners were announced:Special Mention Awards:

“Gusto nang Umuwi ni Joy” by Jan Tristan Pandy
The Best Documentary winner, “Gusto Nang Umuwi ni Joy,” follows an undocumented Filipina in the UK as she tries to secure legal status so that she can return to the Philippines to visit her family.
"It's a greater crime for Joy to not see her family," said winning director Pandy.
During its run at SM Megamall, SM Manila, and Trinoma Mall cinemas from Sept. 24 to 30, Cine Totoo screened 11 films from 11 independent Filipino filmmakers and seven films from filmmakers from the rest of the Southeast Asian region. — BM, GMA News
